Ghost Recon: Future Soldier at E3

Ubisoft further revealed the new Tom Clancy game at E3, showing gameplay trailers and a new, never before seen cinematic trailer that really drew the attention back to Ubisoft as a game company.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is the newest of all the Tom Clancy games and one that is said to change the way war games are played. The game is set to take players into the future of wartime combat by giving them the decision of which of four classes they will play as, and then giving the player a special ability and futuristic equipment. Players can use all new equipment such as Optical Camouflage which allows you to cloak to invisibility and sneak into enemy territory, giving an advantage to the players, or possibly using this ability to scout for danger.

This game also is the first of all Ghost Recon games to include full four player multiplayer campaign mode and will be available in Standard Definition, High Definition, or in 3D.

This game will be releasing in the Spring of 2011.

Microsoft E3 Conference Over View

Microsoft was first up to bat today at E3. Some of the games that they brought to the table look amazing and are the game’s that most gamers have been waiting for.
• Microsoft revealed world premiere game play to the long awaited addition to the Metal Gear series, Metal Gear Solid: Rising. This game is staring an old MGS fan favorite Raiden. From what we can infer from the trailer, this game is unlike most of the conventional MGS game mechanics, whereas Raiden is adorned in his cybernetic ninja outfit and instead of shooting the “badies”, he slices and dices them to pieces. This game seems to be border on the lines of “Hack and Slash” game play.
…Oh yea… Zan-Datsu!!!! A world in which EVERYTHING can be cut, sliced, and slashed into a million beautiful pieces.
• GOW3. That’s right, Gears of War 3! Microsoft also revealed some co-op game play for the highly anticipated sequel to what some may call the best shooter on consoles since Halo. Although no new modes or weapons were shown, the “Hammer of Dawn” makes a triumphant return…and man was it BRUTAL!
• Are you a big fan of role playing games, the thin line between good and evil, epic story telling? Well, another long awaited sequel was shown to us today…Fable 3! This story takes place 5 years after the end of Fable 2. The world has been turned upside down since the death of a great king. With a future left in the hands of two sons, how the story unfolds is left in the hands of YOU, the player

Metal Gear Solid: Rising revealed at E3

0

The new Metal Gear Solid game breaks off from the traditional system where you play as Snake, and instead you play as Raiden, who is powered electrically. He wields a katana that allows you to cut/slice everything and anything in any way possible. The series’ former tag-line, “Tactical Espionage Action”, has been replaced with “Lightning Bolt Action”, a play on Raiden’s name. This new game will, however keep the tradition to all Metal Gear games and require stealth and sneaking in the missions.

Hideo Kojima had officially announced the game at Microsoft’s E3 2009 press conference, after running various countdowns for the announcement on a Konami website. Both Kojima and Kenichiro Inaizumi will be producing the game. Kojima stated that he became involved with Rising because “it’s a completely different kind of action than what has appeared in the series so far” and also stated that he will be more involved in the development of the game than a normal video game producer would be. Finally, at E3 2010, gamers got their first look at the game, and hopefully were satisfied.
