The Sims™ 3 Ambitions Expansion Pack, the second expansion pack for the PC game, The Sims 3 is available at retail nationwide and for digital download today. The game will be in stores worldwide in 60 countries and in 20 languages this week.
The Sims 3 Ambitions will also be available for feature phones, iPhone and iPod touch in late 2010 from EA Mobile™. These versions will have customized mobile gameplay features, which will be revealed in the coming months and will not require a base game to play.
The Sims 3 Ambitions allows players to pursue a variety of careers in their Sims’ lives that in turn affect their overall gameplay experience and neighborhood. Players can choose to hunt down vengeful spirits as the ghost hunter, invent brilliant and potentially destructive gadgets as an inventor, craft glorious masterpieces as a sculptor, dole out experimental medicine as a doctor, save lives as a firefighter, and solve riveting cases by any means necessary as an investigator with dozens of cases to solve and numerous clues to find. For the first time, players will be in charge of how their Sims’ career progresses and decide if they will work for good or evil, pursue creative endeavors or technical affairs, change the town for the better or wreak havoc on everyone’s homes. Choices made while playing the new careers and activities such as stylist, architecture designer and tattoo artist directly impact the look and feel of the town and other Sims. For example, as a player you get to determine what a Sims’ new appearance will look like, whether that be a hip makeover or a new tattoo fit for a rockstar.
Additionally, players will be able to explore Twinbrook, an entirely new playable town in The Sims 3 Ambitions, where they will be able to meet new locals, explore their surroundings and find new employment opportunities.
NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., just announced that Soulcalibur IV will be joining many other popular game titles on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360, through Games on Demand for 1600 Microsoft Points.
Rockstar announced today that the ‘Outlaws To The End Co-Op Mission Pack’ for Red Dead Redemption will be available for download on June 22 for both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The new content will be free to download and includes six brand-new co-op missions, as well as new co-op challenges, bonus multiplayer XP rewards, and extra opportunities to unlock additional Achievements and Trophies.
Up to four players can team up together online to experience the new missions, full of intense shoot-outs and strategic cooperative play.
As some of you may know, Square-Enix has been working on plenty of games…most of which are being kept in the dark. Well, we here some new information for you. After an interview held with some of Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s head developers and character designers, we may see this highly anticipated title making an appearance onto the Xbox 360? Seeing how successful sales were with the release of Final Fantasy XIII on both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360, Square-Enix has stated that they are looking into the possibilities of releasing Vs XIII on multiple platforms.
Not much is known about this game aside from speculation on the trailer released last year, but one thing is known for sure…this will be one of Square’s most cherished games once it comes to fruition. If you are familiar with “world maps” as seen in FF1-9 and are familiar with the “world map” of FF 12, this new title will blow your socks off. While still in early development, this was said by an unknown character and level designer: “The world map in Final Fantasy Versus XIII is so large, while journeying from one town to another, we actually got lost for hours”. The world can barely wait for Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
Also, Square-Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase spoke about the possibility of a Final Fantasy 7 remake: “…if it took 3-4 years to make Final Fantasy XIII, it would most likely take 10 times longer to make Final Fantasy 7 to the same quality level as FFXIII”, so don’t look for any remakes of that game anytime soon.
Konami today announced the ship date for N3II: Ninety-Nine Nights, coming exclusively to Xbox 360 on June 29.

InterWorks Unlimited Inc., gaming peripherals company today announced they have entered into an exclusive deal with HKS USA, Inc., The manufacturer and supplier automotive performance systems. They will be co-developing a line of professional racing video game controllers. They will be using professional racing technologies and precision control processes, such as heel/toe drifting, and integrating into their game controller.
Their new video game controller will take racing games to a new level of challenge and realism by allowing players to replicate the bets driving techniques used by race drivers. They will also be showing some of what they have to offer at this years E3 convention.
