2XKO Ultimate Game Breakdown – EVO Build Impressions

At EVO 2024, Riot games let us get our hands on their new upcoming fighting game, 2XKO. Which was formerly known as Project L. I can’t express how much more time I wanted to keep playing this game, I really enjoyed every moment I had. You don’t need to be familiar with League of Legends to enjoy this game but that always gives it a bonus!

This game was able to take all the great elements from previous great fighting games like, Marvel Vs Capcom, Street Fighter Alpha, Capcom Vs SNK, and reinvented it. Its original art style is beautiful, as the animation seems with every movement and action. All of your basic fighting game actions from specials, supers, and ultimates are in 2XKO!

Biggest game changer for me was the 2 player vs 2 player option for a fighting game. A first of its kind when coming to the mainstreet fighting game scene, and I am all in for it. Teaming up with a friend and having to work with them during the match was a thrill I felt never before. It sounds like it’s confusing and too much work, but it felt extremely easy.

We don’t have a release date soon, but the fighting game community absolutely has their eye on this game! As of now, all we know is the Alpha testing is right around the corner! Make sure to sign up if you haven’t yet. You know I did!
