Nintendo recently announced a new version of their DSi called DSi XL. The handheld will be significantly larger than the original and sport a much bigger screen as well. The new machine is scheduled for a Q1 2010 release. No word on the price yet.
The Sam & Max franchise is a fairly unique one in that it's one of the few series in gaming that was reborn after being forgotten for about 15 years. Sam & Max have had a cult following since the mid 90s and with the new games now on PC and Xbox Live the duo has been brought back fully into the spotlight, and many gamers would agree that it's a well deserved treatment.
Nostalgia was developed by Red Entertainment and Matrix Software for the DS, the latter company being the team behind Final Fantasy III, and IV for the DS. Having said that Nostalgia is very much similar to those games, if you are a fan of those titles then chances are you'll really like Nostalgia, likewise if you didn't care for either of those games then Nostalgia will have a tough time sparking any interests for you.
Mark your calendar and lock in your copy of Mass Effect 2 now! Leading video game developer BioWare, announced that the epic Shooter/RPG Mass Effect 2 will be on store shelves in North America on January 26, and on January 29 in Europe.
You would have to be in denial to not say that the Wii's current line up of games is relatively uninteresting. This is by no means a shot at Nintendo, if you look at the release list for the rest of '09 and early next year you'll be hard pressed to find something to get really excited about. Save for New Super Mario Bros Wii, Nintendo hasn't even been exploiting their greatest strength: a database of unique IPs.
