Samsung is expanding its Galaxy ecosystem with two new additions, introducing the Galaxy Tab S12 series alongside the new Galaxy SmartTag3.
Leading the announcement are the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+, Samsung’s latest flagship tablets built around stronger performance, Galaxy AI and an even thinner design. The new models are aimed at everything from entertainment and gaming to productivity and creative work, with expansive displays that make features like Multi Window and S Pen support especially useful when juggling multiple apps.
Samsung is also putting a bigger focus on creators this time around. Adobe Photoshop comes pre-loaded on the Galaxy Tab S12 series, marking a first for Android tablets, while additional creative apps including Pinterest help round out the experience. Combined with faster AI processing and improved performance, the Tab S12 looks to push Samsung’s tablet lineup further into laptop-replacement territory without losing what makes a tablet convenient in the first place.
Joining the tablets is the Galaxy SmartTag3, a smaller and lighter version of Samsung’s tracker designed for keeping tabs on bags, keys, pets and other everyday essentials. One of the biggest changes is cross-platform compatibility, with SmartTag3 working across both Galaxy and iOS devices for the first time.
Samsung says the SmartTag3 can deliver up to 550 days of battery life under standard use. An expanded Compass View can also help locate tagged items from farther away, while proactive alerts are designed to keep users updated without having to constantly open the app and check.
The Galaxy Tab S12 series launches October 7 in Gray and Silver. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at $1,399.99, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at $1,199.99.
Galaxy SmartTag3 arrives in the U.S. in early November in Black and White, priced at $29.99 for a single tag or $99.99 for a four-pack.
Between a more creator-focused flagship tablet and a SmartTag that finally expands beyond Samsung’s own ecosystem, both additions feel like practical upgrades to the larger Galaxy lineup heading into the end of the year.
