PAX East 2020: Coffee Talk

This year Toge Productions brought a few games to convention floor but one that was enjoyable and a good change from all the hacking and slashing or FPS games was Coffee Talk. Taking the feel of a game like VA-11 HALL-A and N1RV Ann-A, Coffee Talk takes a page from their book and gives you a relaxed narrative where you take the time to learn about your patrons. Designed with a 90’s anime art style and super relaxing music, Coffee Talk is a narrative game where you play a barista in a shop called Coffee Talk. You make small talk with all your patrons to learn about their every day lives and problems while making enjoyable drinks for them. One interesting things that was part of the game was actually creating the drinks. Not only mixing different ingredients and getting a specific outcome, but also designing different types of latte arts in the customer’s cup of coffee. If you’re a fan of story driven games with relaxing music and an enjoyable story be sure to check Steam Coffee Talk. If you aren’t sure if you’d enjoy the game, there is a demo available to try before you buy so be sure to check it out and let us know what you think.
