Fable Anniversary announced

It’s been nearly 10 years since Microsoft partnered with Lionhead Studios to bring you on an epic adventure of superb story telling and wondrous RPG adventure. Looks like it’s time to relive some of those glorious moments again with a remake to the original Fable. This version which will release on the Xbox 360 will also bring the expansion the lost chapters with it.

“We’re really excited to bring ‘Fable’ to Xbox 360,” said Ted Timmins, Lead Designer on “Fable Anniversary.” “It’s the game that the ‘Fable’ community has been asking for, so we wanted to make sure ‘Fable Anniversary’ delivered the definitive ‘Fable’ experience for both long-time fans and newcomers to the franchise.”

The game will also bring you a set of other features along with it. Redone graphics, almost instant load times, an all-new interface, Achievements, Xbox SmartGlass support and more. Expect this on the holiday season and take a look at some of the screens below to see it in HD glory.

Dragon Age 3: Inquisition for Xbox One listed by retailer

Looks like Mirrors Edge 2 is the only thing being leaked by retailers these days. It seems as if major online retail giant Amazon has listed Dragon Age 3: Inquisition on its website for the Xbox One no less. The page appears to be on Amazon Italy and while news for the game being in development isn’t new you have to wonder how this info from EA is finding itself on retails lists only a week before E3. Nothing more to the page is actually shared accept for the logo itself but we’ll keep you informed as this will no doubt be something shown in one of the three press conferences Microsoft, Sony or EA’s. The image to the listing can be found below.

Let’s be real, iPhones have been used for a multitude of different things but the Inteliscope Tactical Rifle Adapter may just be the thing to make “shooting” a bit more exciting. • Shoot Around Corners with No Head Exposure

The on-screen, heads-up display of the Inteliscope app is packed with features including:

  • Ballistics and Firearm Data
  • Built-in Compass
  • GPS Position
  • Local Prevailing Winds
  • Shot Timer
  • Flashlight and Strobe using Built-in LED

The Inteliscope should be available in June for about $70. More information can be found here.

Call of Duty Ghosts trailer

If you missed it we have the Call of Duty Ghosts trailer coming out of the Xbox One event that was exactly one week ago. This trailer shows off the upgrades from their engine and level of detail. This game is not only a new direction for the franchise but is much more character driven then previous titles. If we know Call of Duty it will be a hard one to beat in terms of game sales. Take a look and let us know your thoughts.

PS4 games to require PS Vita remote play access

Sony has been playing with the idea of remote play for the Vita as early as E3 2011, with some games having games functioning with it as of now with the PS3. Early in the year the when Sony announced the PS4 they demonstrated remote play with the PS Vita which developers could take advantage of if they wanted too. A report was released today that the functionality looks to be mandatory and that every game should indeed have PS4 remote play with the PS Vita.

While we don’t know the amount of development this adds to a game for PS4, we do know this does help Sony get some Vita’s off shelfs. Nothing is better then your products working and syncing together so it looks to be closing the gap between the two. Remote play will not only allow you to play or resume your game locally from your PS4 to Vita but functions between the two can possibly further enhance the experience like Nintendo Wii U’s gamepad or even Xbox’s Smartglass. We’ll bring you more news on this as it comes in.

Resident Evil Revelations Review

Resident Evil has been the pinnacle for survival/zombie horror for well over a decade. Some of our greatest moments comes from times that when looking back is unbelievable how we managed to endure such cheesy and awkward game mechanics. The 3DS version of Resident Evil Revelations took us back to a familiar time where those awkward mechanics from previous games were endearing. The console and PC versions of Resident Evil Revelations bumps of the graphics and technical aspects but loses some flair along the way.

Resident Evil: Revelations fills the gap on some of the storyline and even brings some things together. It never quite makes sense of its self but it somehow doesn’t really matter. Character models look good and can tell they’ve been cared for in the upgrade. The game doe a good job like always of limiting your equipment to conserve ammo, sometimes too good where your running around with nothing. In this game you find yourself scanning areas more often then not which is a new tool in Resident Evil. You basically collect info on dead enemies or find hidden items that give you ammo/herbs.

The game has made tv like episodes as its missions giving you a previous look on whats been going on so far as you get further in the game. The need to go back and get a better rating within the sections becomes compelling as I found myself doing that from time to time. Online play can be fun with friends or done competitively as well. The game is also challenging so be prepared to die quite a bit of times if you obviously not prepared.

Some of the things that plague the very small edition of the 3DS seem to still happen here. When playing the console version we noticed some slowdown when the area was boggling down with enemies which very much happened on the 3DS. We also found it hard to play a game where the fidelity is somewhere between Resident Evil 4-5 yet 4 seemed was a more advanced game. While this isn’t a bad game at all, this counterpart to the original would make anyone believe that it will only expand and make it that much better but everything that could be forgiven on the 3DS doesn’t seem to fly here.

It is good to note that they didn’t leave gamers in the dark by only making a 3DS version if you don’t own one so for fans of the series this is a good one to have. Overall some things could have had better execution. I found myself fighting waves of the same kind of enemies or going down paths the felt the same. All of which are perfectly fine on the 3DS since it looked to have been taking on so much to begin with but could have used an extra coat of paint here.

Toonami Adding New Shows To Line Up

0

For some of us that remember Toonami on the Cartoon Network, it was something that American kids could watch and get a taste of Japanese animation. Well if you don’t already know, Toonami is back on Saturday nights with a new line up and even some old. A new favorite of mine coming to Toonami in August is Sword Art Online (SAO). SAO is about players of a virtual reality MMORPG, Aincrad Online, that are trapped and fighting for their very lives. If you die in the game, you die in real life. After it is announced that the only way to leave the game is by fighting through all the dungeons and defeating all the bosses, Kirito—a very powerful swordsman—and his friends take on a quest to free all the minds trapped in Aincrad. Toonami has been getting a lot of viewers, and maybe you’ll add to the viewer count.
