Anker Nano Power Strip 10-in-1 Review

Power strips are not exciting. Nobody is sitting around waiting for the next big outlet reveal. However, this is a small desk upgrade that ended up being way more useful than I expected. I work from home, and my old setup was a regular power strip stuck under my desk with double-sided tape. It’s functional but not always convenient. Anytime I needed to plug something in, I had to reach under or, worse, crawl under my desk, and if I wanted fast charging for a phone, camera battery, or other device, I still needed to plug in a separate wall charger because the USB-C on the old surge protector pretty much trickle-charged everything.

The Anker Nano Power Strip 10-in-1 fixes all that. It clamps to the desk and puts power within reach. The unit includes 6 AC outlets, 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB-A ports, a 5-foot power cord, 1500J surge protection, and up to 70W charging from a single USB-C port. It is still a power strip, but the layout makes it feel more like part of the desk instead of something tucked underneath it.

I have it clipped to the back of my work desk, and the clamp is an extremely convenient part of the design. Once it is tightened down, it’s not moving. Anker lists support for desk edges from 0.6 to 1.8 inches thick, and based on how it feels on my desk, I can see it working with most normal setups. The clamp also makes it movable, which is the best part. My old power strip was basically married to the underside of the desk once I taped it there. This one can be repositioned if I change my setup, move gear around, or decide I want it somewhere else later.

The top and bottom plug layout is useful because it gives you options instead of forcing every cable into one awkward row. I use it for phone charging, GoPro battery chargers, and whatever else needs power during the day. I even have the standing desk plugged into it. It keeps the quick-access stuff on the desk instead of buried underneath it.

The USB-C charging is probably the biggest quality-of-life upgrade. Being able to fast charge from the strip itself cuts down on the need for extra wall chargers. I checked the wattage with my Anker power brick, and it was charging with no issue at 65W. That matters because a lot of power strips have USB ports, but they are barely useful beyond slow charging. A cheap power strip can give you more outlets, but then you still need a wall charger for every phone, tablet, camera battery charger, or random USB-C device to access fast charging. With this, the USB ports are actually useful, not just nice to have.

At around $70, it is definitely more expensive than a basic power strip. But I do not think that is the right comparison. A cheap strip gives you outlets and some trash USB ports. This gives you cleaner access, flexible placement, USB-C fast charging, no need for wall chargers, and a setup that looks super clean. Yes it might be just over twice the price of a cheap Amazon special, but you get so much value and utility, the price feels easier to justify.

The Anker Nano Power Strip 10-in-1 is one of those products that sounds unnecessary until you use it. I already had power at my desk, but I didn’t know that it was the annoying version. It is not flashy, but this is the kind of small upgrade that just makes life easier.
