Epson’s stepping it up with the HC 3700 this year

Epson has be coming in the game of projectors in a big way the past couple of years. Last year they had effectively one of the better LCD 1080p projectors to get with their Home Cinema 2040 model, this year they look to refresh it with newer features. We got a chance to take a brief look at the 3700 and some of its features this year.

Compared the the 2040 and 2045 of last year, this year they’ve increased the brightness of the 1080p projector to 3000 Lumens vs 2200 Lumens from before. Deeper black levels up to 70,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio versus 35,000:1. Also adding Epson Image Enhancement Technology features Super-resolution with Detail Enhancement to sharpen and refine images for lifelike smoothness and clarity from their higher end PJ’s. Along with captivating sound with two built-in 10 W stereo speakers deliver lifelike sound without the need for additional speakers, to compare the HC 2045 features only one speaker. Pricing details have not be released yet as it’s looking to come out within the next few weeks or so but check in to get full details on performance when that happens.
