GDC: Sony announces Project Morpheus VR Headset for PS4

It seems that the rumors surrounding a Sony branded VR headset is true! Sony has announced that they have a virtual reality headset for PS4, no doubt to rival the PC only Oculus Rift. The device is in its prototype phase named Porject Morpheus, sporting a white visor, blue LED’s and supports 1080p gameplay.

Sony believes to have an edge since display and sound is what they’ve done for years. How this will all translate will be made clear as time goes on but the rumor is that it is said to release to the masses sometime next year and developers are already said to be playing with kits right now.

We’ll bring you more news as it comes in.
