Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Announced

There’s been a lot of speculation whether Marvel vs Capcom 3 was going to get some new additions to their list of fighters and it seems that it’s actually true! Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 has a window of being released in November with a bunch of different characters, a different mode, new stages, and fully rebalanced. There’s been a lot of digging around for who the new characters will be, and so far we are guaranteed that Ghost Rider, Firebrand, Strider, and Hawk Eye are in on the new roster. Some other characters that may be in the game will be Vergil, Frank West, Phoenix Wright, Nemesis, Dr. Strange, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, and Iron Fist. Remember the roster may change, but if it does, we’ll keep you posted.

The new mode added to the game will be spectator mode, where players can actually watch the battle between players. Previous MvC3 the Versus mode only gave player cards of each character being used and the life bars of each. Lastly some information on pre-order goodies. The New Age of Heroes Costume Pack will come with the first Strider costume, Dr. Doom Doomwar, Classic X-men Sentinel, and Mechanical Akuma for people who pre-order the game. When pictures become available we’ll be sure to update everyone of what they look like, but just hearing “Mechanical Akuma” you can’t not think a Terminator type of Akuma with the red cybernetic eye! Pricing has not yet been placed on the game, but like Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV, pricing may not be as high.
