Japanese Playstation 3 Goes on a Diet

Since the problems in Japan from the nuclear reactor occurred, Japanese people have become more energy conservative. I mean who wants to spend more yen to pay bills anyways right? This month Sony will release a new version of their PS3 that’s just as slim but lighter and uses less energy. The new PS3 will be model will be the CECH-3000B, a charcoal black, 320gig HDD, lighter chassis that weighs 2,6kg or 6.5 lbs. (Fat PS3= 11lbs., Current Slim= 7.7lbs.), and consumes only 200 watts (Fat PS3= 380w [2006 – 2007], 280w [2008-present], Slim= 250w). As you can see the Japanese do electronics very well, hopefully the new slim will come state side so I can finally cut down on my power bill a bit and spend it more on games. Also Sony plans to release a 160gig Tales of Xillia edition come September.
