PSP 2 Finally Announced … I Mean PSP NGP

So long rumor and speculation, hello official statement! Today marks the moment that Sony makes the PSP2 official .. umm I mean the PSP NGP (Next Generation Portable) as that is its code name. During a Japanese press conference they decided to let the cat out of the bag and all its specs point to it being a full on successor to the PSP.

With a real name and release date unknown they did go ahead and say they want it to be released by the end of 2011 holiday. They also have an incredible list of game companies actively working on games as we speak. Activision Inc., Capybara Games, Demiurge Studios, Epic Games Inc., Far Sight Studios, Frima, High Voltage Software, Kung Fu Factory, Paramount Digital Entertainment, PopCap Games, Powerhead Games, Trendy Entertainment, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, 2K Games, 2K Sports to name a few.
