Sony reported over the weekend on Kaz Hirai's promotional step, stating that the information that Nikkei published was possibly a few weeks to early or may be a mistake. Sony has yet to offer Kaz Hirai the presidential position, and has refrained from stating if the information that Nikkei indeed is true or false.
