GameStop has finally announced that it's rewards programs PowerUp Rewards and PowerUp Pro, is now available all over the country. The rewards program that gives loyal customers redeemable points towards Netflix, Xbox Live subscriptions, and gift cards. With a $15 subscription per year for the pro, subscribers also receive discounts on pre-owned games, and a full year subscription to Game Informer among other benefits.

Today begins the revolution, 600 Best Buys across nation opens their doors to gamers who have an abundance of games but not enough electronics. Games traded in are credited to a Best Buy gift card which then can be used to purchase other goods within the store.

GameStop has been cagey about its plans to deal with the impending digital age, but the new CEO Paul Raines spoke frankly about it in a recent interview with The Street. He says he wants the GameStop Web site to be a "destination for gamers, whether they are getting content via online, mobile, console or any other platform. We are also migrating our website from a purely e-commerce site to a gaming platform that users can visit to play, learn and purchase games."
