Press X to Magic Missle Diablo III Onto Consoles

1

If you were unaware, D.I.C.E. kicked off yesterday at Red Rock. Lots to do and lots to see, but one of the things that struck a note was that Blizzard was interested in bringing Diablo over to consoles.

“I think you could make an argument that a game like Diablo might play very well on a console. It’s something that we’re actually doing an investigation into to see if that could make sense.” -Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard Entertainment.

With Portal 2 coming to Playstation 3 by ways of Steam, seeing Diablo 3 on a console may not be so far off. The only thing that we gamers probably hope for would most likely it doesn’t turn out to be like the previously stated game Star Craft: Ghost.

Tencent had been one of the primary partners of Riot Games throughout the process of their release of “League of Legends”, both financially, as well as through artwork, but they have taken a step forward and decided to invest further into the company. President of Riot Games, Mark Merill has assured customers that the staff and vision of the company will remain the same, he went further to explain that the increase in budgeting will allow Riot Games to hire aggressively throughout 2011. CEO Brandon Beck followed up by explaining that Riot looks to launch new projects to “push the boundaries in the gaming space.” The company will maintain its headquarters in Los Angeles, and continue to work on their flagship game. No financial terms of the agreement have been disclosed.

Updated: Dark Souls

0

From Software’s followup to their 2009 release “Demon’s Souls” has been renamed according to the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, it was originally announced as “Project Dark”, but has since been adapted to Dark Souls. The first title, published by Namco, was released only for the Playstation 3, and meant to be much more difficult than a lot of its competitors. This time around, the Xbox 360 is being included in the initial launch, and to touch on that difficulty factor, producer Daisuke Uchiyama said in a recent report “We want the player to scream, yell, and be frustrated”.

Other then a small trailer, and a release date set to be “in 2011”, not much else is known about the game, only that the creation crew hopes for “millions of deaths”.

Crysis 2 minimum system requirements

  • Internet connection for activation and online gameplay
  • OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo at 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz (or better)
