0

Sony is out doing themselves again this week. The PSP Go’s price has dropped from the original price of $200 down to $150. The only place this has been listed is on the Sony PSP website. Other sites such as Amazon, Best Buy, and New Egg still have the PSP Go prices at the original MSRP. Previously the PSP-3000’s price was dropped down to $130, if you missed the story here’s the link.

We Dare To Be Too Daring?

We Dare Cover Box

The latest game from Ubisoft, We Dare, has been catching a lot of attention. On the surface, it seems like a very tame game. Mii-esque characters having fun on the screen participating in party games. But for the PS3 and the Wii and their wireless remotes, the players might be involved in “other” games. In Ubisoft’s ad, you see a small group of people playing We Dare and not in the normal way either.

In order to get the characters on the screen to play the game, the players are shown in sexually-enticed actions such as bottom-smacking and sliding down the remote down someone’s clothes. They’re not saying much on it but one can tell that the whole situation is far from innocent. And even with the rating system in place, the US will never see this game in stores. But it looks like Europe will have a good time with it.

Catherine Coming In Summer!

One of the most anticipated games from Altus is coming to North American shores. Originally not yet announced and being kept a secret, we don’t know why, Catherine will definitely be coming to the US. Already released in Japan on February 17, gamers have either imported the game or have bit the bullet and are still bandaging a broken heart. Good thing their wounds will be mended this Summer, just in time to keep the pastie white coloring from winter.

Two Worlds 2 Review

0

Two Worlds 2 is game that had a lot of promise when announced, the original had a lot of interesting ideas but several issues caused it to be a below average game. Now Two Worlds 2 looks to fix the problems of the original while adding in some improvements.

Two Worlds 2 is a fantasy action RPG, the story and setting is pretty standard. Nothing about the overall plot will really jump out at players, it’s mostly just to setup the game and it does it good enough.

The graphics are one of the best parts of Two Worlds 2, the environments look very detailed and have plenty of nice effects. The characters also look pretty good. However the animation are not quite good, the way the character swings his weapon, and enemies move around awkwardly. The bad animation is present through a good amount of the game so it will get noticeable by almost anyone playing the game.

The gameplay has some issues too, for example the left trigger is used for many different things like running, and aiming. It can get confusing when you start doing actions that you weren’t trying to do. The actual gameplay itself is standard action, players will travel through many different locations fighting a variety of enemies with many different weapons and magic.

The audio in the game is mixed, the music is actually really good and always fits the mood of the setting your in. The music also has a range of tracks that are very typical fantasy type music but done very well and is one of the game’s best parts. However the voice acting is not very good, the acting is sometimes monotone and boring and sometimes is overly dramatic, either way the voice acting is not very high quality.

The multiplayer aspect of Two Worlds 2 is a very strong point, the game almost becomes an MMO so there are a lot of possibilities, players can fight each other, go on a multiplayer campaign and can play the village builder game where they can create their own town. Overall if you have someone that you’ll work well with in an MMO you’ll probably have some fun with this game however the issues that are in the single player game are also in the multiplayer game too.

There a few other aspects of Two Worlds 2 that come up with low quality, the game at times becomes extremely difficult for no reason and can get very frustrating, players will have to repeat missions several times until they actually complete one.

Overall Two Worlds 2 has several good qualities to it like the multiplayer but there are just too many aspects of the game that have issues. If you really need to play a fantasy game, or if you have a friend that will play the multiplayer game then Two Worlds 2 is a solid game.

1

With the Sony Ericson Experia Play and PSP NGP on the way, Sony seems to be cutting prices on the current PSP-3000 to unload all the stock to make room for the next generation this weekend. PSP-3000’s price will be reduced to $130, $40 from the original price of $170, also bundled PSP’s prices will drop down to $160. If you’re looking to pick up a PSP Go, (which I don’t think you will be) the price will unfortunately remain the same.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a quarter century since the very first Zelda game came out. Over the years there have been many different versions of Zelda games and different time lines pertaining to the hero of time. Nonetheless Zelda has been old but new at the same time, and yet with every variation of the game we all still enjoy it very much. With Skyward Sword on the way for the 3DS, I think we’re all ready for the new Zelda with the new dimension, but for now enjoy your anniversary!
