The first Battlefield Bad Company was a pretty big hit when it was released about a year ago, for the first time the game put players in the role of actual characters rather than the no name generic ones of the previous battlefield games. The game also allowed for destructible environments, and energetic multiplayer. Bad Company 2 follows this formula and stays close to it, the game appears to be much sleeker in presentatioin, and seems to add more gameplay in a variety of forms. One of the major aspects in the orignal bad company was the vehicles and the new title looks to do more with them. Click to view gallery.
One of Nintendo's biggest games shown at E3 was of course Red Steel 2, the game taking place in a unique fantasy setting was the interest of many at the show. Red Steel 2 promises very accurate controls compared to the original, this is due to the Wii motion plus which will be required to play the game. From the gameplay videos and demos shown the game seems like it's shaping up rather well, with the ability to switch between sword and gun at anytime. Red Steel 2 along with, the new Dead Space, and Resident Evil titles looks to bring in an older audience on the kid friendly platform. Click to view more images.
It was announced by Microsoft last year at E3 that with their installment of the NXE (New Dashboard Experience) update released later that year 2008 were going to have a Prime Time category. Not being ready in time for the NXE, Microsoft said it will come out sometime in spring. Exactly one year from its original announcement we finally get our hands on it.
Ok I have a lot of respect for Sony, don't get me wrong. They played a huge role in the gaming industry with the Psone and PS2, but I have to say Sony's latest system is not very appealing to me. It's expensive for one, but more importantly than that there hasn't been too many exclusive games on it that really have that system seller feel to it. This is not my opinion alone, the market has left the electronics giant in last place in the console wars since it's release. Having said that I'll admit the console does have some interesting games on it's line up, these up coming titles could help Sony a lot, here are a few.
It seems as though Microsoft's gaming system always has several games that are on the horizon of being released, however if you've already beaten Resident Evil 5, and Halo Wars then you might be thinking what next? Well there are plenty of games on the release calender, and here are just a few I picked out that I think are going to stand above the other titles.
If your like me you like the Wii and think it has the ability to be one of the greatest consoles in gaming history. If your also like me then you think that Nintendo has barely tapped into Wii's potential. Now here we are, ignoring the console we once looked toward so eagerly. Our consoles have been collecting dust, having barely played any games since Smash Brothers or Wii Fit. Some have been considering selling their machine. Well you might want to reconsider that, because Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about the core gamers and there are several games in the big N’s lineup that might very well put the wii-mote back into your hands.
