Green Day: Rock Band came as a surprise for fans of the Rock Band series for better or for worse. However for those who might have been disappointed that the only new Rock Band is a Green Day inspired one will be happy to know that another entry is being made in 2010.
Dark Void, the jet pack swinging action game has shipped to retailers. Available for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Dark Void is rated T for Teen retailing at $59.99 for the console versions and $39.99 for Windows PC.
It should come as no surprise that Modern Warfare 2 was going to become one of the top selling games and a few days ago the official numbers were released confirming the speculations. Interestingly enough Modern Warfare 2 wasn't the best selling game in December, that actually went to New Super Mario Wii.
Looks like Metal Slugs is getting the PSP treatment next month. Atlus will bring the side-scrolling, arcade-style, run-and-gun shooter for PSP this February.
Without much shock Final Fantasy XIII has become the fastest selling PS3 game as many speculated it would. The game sold over 1 million copies on it's first day and reached 1.5 million by it's first week. Just as a comparison the previous record holder was Metal Gear Solid 4 which Final Fantasy XIII has doubled.
Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that a three pack of songs from Weezer, as well as singles from Limp Bizkit, Yellowcard and The Offspring will be added this week to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Wii.
