Green Day: Rock Band came as a surprise for fans of the Rock Band series for better or for worse. However for those who might have been disappointed that the only new Rock Band is a Green Day inspired one will be happy to know that another entry is being made in 2010.
MTV Games’ Paul DeGooyer recently said in an interview “As efficient as digital distribution is, there are still things that are much more efficiently delivered as a disc. In terms of major upgrades, I mean. That said, we haven’t announce any formal plans for a sequel game … yet.”
So is this the much awaited Rock Band 3? It very could be, at this point there are a lot of rumors involving Rock Band 3 including the addition of new instruments and even Natal support. We’ll have to wait and see what Harmonix as in development but it’s safe to assume whatever they’re making will have the attention of the gaming community.
