Freddy Krueger is back, and this time in video game form. The fourth DLC for Mortal Kombat will include Mr. Nightmare on Elm street himself. For $4.99 or 400 MP's, or free for you season pass holders you can download Freddy next month on August 9th. All that's left to wonder is when Jason Voorhees will show up with his big ass machete and hockey mask.

There's been a lot of speculation whether Marvel vs Capcom 3 was going to get some new additions to their list of fighters and it seems that it's actually true! Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 has a window of being released in November with a bunch of different characters, a different mode, and fully rebalanced. Turtle Beach and Activision are coming together and putting the hurt on headsets. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will be out this November and with it comes accessories. The new line of headsets offered from Turtle Beach have been dubbed "Ear Force", and with any military squad they have different code names for different levels of performance.

It's been almost a month since the Annihilation DLC for Black Ops has hit Xbox 360, which means it's time for it's release on PC and PS3 is due. Come July 28, the highly anticipated DLC will finally be in the hands of hardcore Blops players for PC and PS3. For $15 PC and PS3 gamers will be able to download the new DLC and finally be rid of the rants of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert England, Michael Rooker, Danny Trejo, and George Romero. I mean how many times during a zombie game can you really listen to people saying the same annoying lines? With the new zombie map we at least get Dempsey, Richtofen, Takeo, and Nikolai back. Oh also gamers get new maps to play on! Start counting the days guys/gals, because DLC is on it's way!

According to NPD the US has spent about $5.9 billion, with a big fat B, on video games in the first quarter of 2011. The $5.9 billion compared to last years 2010 Q1 figures was actually a 1.5% increase in sales. Of course NPD took in account of gaming accessories, PC games, pre-owned games, online games, social sites, and game rentals. With the vast majority of entertainment being streamlined to consumers needs and wants, video games are in the express lane. Games being available from Redbox, Onlive, and even Gamefly for rentals, and for Steam, Direct 2 Drive, or XLBA and PSN for direct download means that games can be in gamer's hands with a touch of a few buttons.
