Code Vein II Launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC

Bandai Namco has officially launched Code Vein II, and this sequel already feels like a bigger and more confident follow-up to the original. The game is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with Bandai Namco leaning into a story built around traveling between the past and present to stop the world from collapsing.

This time, players step into the role of the Revenant Hunter, joined by Lou MagMell, a Revenant companion who revives the protagonist and gives them the power to move through time. That setup gives Code Vein II a stronger hook right away and helps it feel like more than just another dark anime action RPG.

On the gameplay side, the core formula is still here with blood-based abilities, Blood Codes, and specialized gear called Jails, but Bandai Namco is also adding a new Partner System to deepen combat. That system introduces mechanics like Link Points, partner bonuses, and recovery support that can bring the player back into the fight, which should make battles feel a little more dynamic than before.

Customization is still a major part of the appeal too, with detailed character creation options returning alongside Photo Mode and in-game hot springs for checking out your build in different lighting. Overall, Code Vein II looks like Bandai Namco trying to give the series more identity, more scale, and a better gameplay hook all at once.
