JBL Expands Portable Lineup with Grip, Boombox 4, and PartyBox 720

Meet the JBL Grip

JBL is adding a brand-new speaker to its portable family with the introduction of the JBL Grip ($99.95). Designed with versatility in mind, the Grip makes the perfect partner for any setting. Heading up a mountain? The integrated rope hook and tactile button controls are built for gloved hands. At home? The curved body and customizable ambient lighting turn it into the ideal bedside reading companion.

Backed by bold JBL Pro Sound, the Grip delivers rich, powerful audio in a compact design. It offers up to 14 hours of playtime with Playtime Boost and supports Auracast multispeaker connectivity so you can link multiple units for bigger sound.

JBL Boombox 4

One of JBL’s most iconic speakers just got a major upgrade. The JBL Boombox 4 ($549.95) brings a refreshed design with two additional woofers and three passive radiators that pump out 210W of power. Whether you’re setting the vibe for a backyard barbecue or bringing the noise on a camping trip, the Boombox 4 is ready.

Key features include:

  • Bass Boost Mode accessible through the JBL Portables app or on-speaker controls
  • A glowing JBL Horn for visual flair
  • AI Sound Boost to minimize distortion
  • Up to 30 hours of playtime with Playtime Boost
  • IP68 rating for dust and water resistance
  • Auracast stereo pairing
  • A replaceable battery for quick swaps and extended life

JBL PartyBox 720

For those who want to go all out, JBL is bringing the PartyBox 720 ($1,099)—its largest battery-powered party speaker to date. This beast delivers 800W of output with up to 15 hours of playtime, making it the ultimate centerpiece for any party.

The PartyBox 720 also supports Auracast connectivity for linking multiple speakers, plus USB-C input for high-quality streaming. It is built for performance with mic and guitar inputs, DJ console support, and a futuristic built-in light show that syncs with the beat to turn karaoke or live jam sessions into full-on productions.

The JBL Grip, JBL Boombox 4, and JBL PartyBox 720 will be available through JBL.com and authorized retailers beginning September 2025.
