Expect MW3 To Look The Same

Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist Robert Bowling, recently tweeted that creating a new engine for Modern Warfare 3 would be a counter productive effort. He also noted that creating an engine takes years to develop and perfect. Although the engine may be old, it doesn’t mean that the game will be. Since Infinity Ward will not need a new engine to run the game, that means more time can be spent on quality content to give gamers more variety. You can make a game look amazing, but a brick is still a brick no matter what number of bows and glitter is on it.

What do you guys think, would you prefer to wait for a game with a new engine with maybe not as much content in a couple of years, or a game with the same engine with more content possibly having a release window of 4th quarter of 2011 or even possibly 1st quarter of 2012?
