Hands on Impression: Section 8

section-8 It’s rare to see new elements in a FPS (first person shooter) keeping gamers away from the addictive gameplay of Halo and Call of Duty. Luckily Section 8 brings new features to the table and a little extra. LVLONE sat down with SouthPeak and went hands-on with some of the multiplayer maps that will be in the game.

First Look: DreamKiller, with Teaser Trailer

A Psychologist with the extraordinary ability to enter the tortured souls of her patients. Xbox 360 and PC owners will take control of Alice Drake as she combats the unknown forces that haunts their dreams. As she fights deeper in their minds, she will discover a more evil menace lurking within. Dreamkiller will feature 12 levels full of disturbing creatures that will mimic their surroundings. The patients most horrifying fears will come to life, trying to stop you from bringing the light into their souls and peace to their bodies.

SECTION 8™ REVEALS NEW X SERVER FOR THE XBOX 360

section8 Section 8™ publisher SouthPeak Games, along with developer TimeGate Studios, is set to break new ground on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment platform from Microsoft by supporting X Server functionality, an option where players can run their own dedicated servers using a Windows®-based PC. An X Server can handle up to 32 players at once, resulting in one of the largest multiplayer games currently available on the Xbox 360.
