Indivisible preview

We have seen many iterations of games come to light throughout the years and many have actually faded away as well. Popular trend games like First Person Shooters, Racers and others will always be amongst them but games like Japanese Role Playing Games seem to be getting lost. I personally am a very big fan of JRPG’s but that market has unfortunately been shrinking by the second. I recently got to try a game at a 505 Games event that looks to be bringing back that JRPG flair with fashion.

Lab Zero has been developing a Action RPG named Indivisible which is like Valkrie Profile and Metroid for the modern age. For those who remember the Enix title Valkrie Profile which was first release for the original Playstation had a combat system like no other game at the time, unfortunately aside a sequel which came out a few years later we hadn’t seen this combat implemented since until now.

Indivisible is about a girl raised by her father in the outskirts of town to be tough and fair-minded. When the town is attacked she discovers she has an extraordinary power. The game has a great art style and that’s in part of it being designed by those that made Skull Girls which is evident.

The gameplay for Indivisible took me by surprise as it showed a lot of promise at such an early stage. Not only was the combat fast paced and ever expanding but the side scrolling world aspect also had ways to use your traversal abilities, and engage monsters differently. In the prototype we played provided by 505 Games we got a glimpse of the abilities and characters that we would gather throughout the adventure of the game which complimented the things going on very well.
IndivisiblePrototype_11.0
The game is actually running on a crowdfunding campaign and is fully supported by 505 Games. If the game reaches 1.5 million then 505 Games will contribute 2 million towards development so every dollar matters, you can find the link here.

Indivisible is already shaping up to be a great adventure and would be released for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac. If you need further proof you can actually download the prototype demo on the crowdfunding game right now! We’ll keep you posted on the game and more news as we here it.

JLab Epic Bluetooth Earbuds review

1

The market that is wireless headphones and earbuds is ever growing, some do one thing while others do another. The overall trend is what will get you the most bang for your buck and sound decent to good doing it. While not perfect fortunately these earbuds exceeds on those things and more.

jlab_headphones
Hardware
The earbuds comes with a whole pack of things to help make it the perfect fit for you. This includes several gel eartips in which you can see which one fits your ear perfectly, a pouch to hold it all including anything else you’d like and a clip for the earbuds cord. The Epic Bluetooth Earbuds themselves have a small form factor which is great when you compare it to others, the clip that it comes with also help tie the thing together if you’d liked a much shorter when listening to music. It can also be charged by the small usb cable it comes with as well.

Performance
When it came down to listening to actual music on this thing it sounded great. Clarity was top notch, bass hit its notes and over quality was smooth. I had everything from MuteMath, Jay Z, Electric Guest and Dubvision going and it all sounded really good. Specifically when listening to something like Broken by Dubvision it performed on the highs and lows with steady bass throughout. The build is pretty sturdy as well, the earbuds have a flex cable that wraps around your ears to keep them secure and in place.

The ultimate workout earbuds? One thing to note is that these are great for working out as it’s a point it does try to make. I’ve taken them on runs through central park and have done cross fit with them along with other various workouts and it once you get a good placement going they stay on very well.

We have run into a few issues with the earbuds which were less then ideal. When paring with an iPhone and making a call it was always clear on the receiving end but sometimes it sounded like I was at a far distance to whoever I was talking too. This kind of makes sense due to the placement of the mic which is close to the right earbud where the controls are. There’s not a great indication on when you’re running low on battery and by the time it warns you have about 3-5minutes to recharge or it dies which is not great when you’re in the middle of a commute or a possible workout. We wish it would let us know when the battery is halfway through so I can remember to charge it if I’m not paying attention to the indicator on the device. Not sure if this is from regular use or not but found that depending on placement and especially when paired with an iPhone the sound would get a bit choppy at times, this seemed to happen if my phone was put into my pocket, like it was enough space and padding that creates interference? Lastly these aren’t really noise canceling and no matter which gel earths I tried I couldn’t get it to fit exactly within my ear, that has more to do with the over bulkiness of the earbuds stem as it blocks the end piece from completely going in my ear so I have to listen to these a bit louder then usual sometimes.

Overall
These are a great set of bluetooth earbuds for the quality, it’s durability and being splash guard resistant. Depending on use the price is definitely right especially if they will be used for workouts. We had some minor gripes and some of the issues might be on our end so the fit might range. It comes with everything necessary and more for regular use or working out.

GTA Online Freemode Events coming

0

Rockstar announced that Freenmode Events will be coming to Grand Theft Auto Online next week, September 15th. Freemode Events in Grand Theft Auto Online are a new advancement in open world gameplay, giving players access to a range of seamlessly integrated games and challenges in GTA Online’s Freemode.

More Press Release info:
At any given moment while in Freemode, one of these events may kick off and players can tailor and customize their session to decide exactly which ones they want to occur. With countless variations on each Freemode Event, there are tons of unique new experiences each offering new opportunities for reaping GTA$ and RP in GTA Online.

Look out for King of the Castle – an every man for himself turf war where players will need to ascend and claim the designated ‘castle’ as their territory – and then fend off others. Players can form fragile alliances and work together in modes like Hunt the Beast, where one volunteer is temporarily transformed into a faster, stronger, beastly character who must escape relentless pursuers. Freemode Events also take the shape of insane stunt challenges, such as popping the longest wheelie, catching the most air in a land vehicle, or performing the most near misses in a vehicle without crashing.

Also included with next week’s update are two brand new Adversary Modes. First, Hunting Pack: players are part of a team tasked to deliver a priority vehicle rigged to explode if it drops below a minimum speed, while their opponents race, ram and batter to take it down. Or Cross the Line, where heavily-armed squads face off across a neutral zone – with the goal of having all team members strategically penetrate their opponents territory to claim victory. The Freemode Events Update also brings the Rockstar Editor to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with new features (also being added for current PC users as well) such as an ambient audio and sound effects library, Snapmatic integration, Director Mode updates and more.
