Fresh from the thrills of E3, the gaming community is now very excited about the new motion technologies shown by Microsoft and Sony. The problem is these technologies won't be released for over a year, but you can pick up a 1:1 motion controller today with Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus.
With both project natal on the Xbox 360 and Motion controller on the PS3 in the works one might think that Nintendo would start getting scared from the competition. However this is not the case for Miyamoto, in a recent interview he stated that he's "flattered" his competitors are moving in the same direction but when asked if he was worried he said he wasn't at all, he later stated that their competitors do not provide the level of depth Wii Motion Plus has.

Several video game analysts are saying the Sony PS3 will drop in price in August to coincide with the release of Madden '10. This might seem like a random game to do the price drop on but the series sells extremely well for the PS3 so it makes sense. Some analysts are also suggesting August is a good time because of college students doing their school shopping, many will most likely flock to the price drop. How much the price will drop is another question, many are hoping for a $100, which would bring the console down to a reasonable $299. Sony didn't not hint at a price drop at E3 to the disappointment of many but it wasn't surprising being that Sony mentioned before the show that announcing a price drop at E3 would be "inappropriate".
