The dawning of a new era of baseball is upon us, at least for baseball fans in New York. MLB 09: The Show premiers the newest prides of New York; Citi Field and Yankee Stadium. An interesting piece of news, Target is now offering pre-order cards for $1. Not only does this reserve your game but they're also giving you a $5 gift card when you swing by to pick up your game. Not exactly the craziest deal ever but I think it can help the giant a lot in it's sales, especially in these economic times.

Mario is one of the biggest characters in gaming history, this can not be disputed by any fanboy or hater. Mario is a short, fat hero who has saved the princess and the mushroom kingdom countless times. His courage is great and his strength seemingly unlimited, he's conquered hordes of koopa troopers and goombas. Traveled to ice mountains and Bowser's fire filled castle. Yes Mario is an icon in gaming history but what about his brother? Let us take a look at who is the brother of this legend and what has his role been in the video game world.

Having video games available to your guests has become extremely common today, in recent years the "Party" genre of video games has grown exponentially. Knowing what games to get are important, they have to be easy to pick up and play, yet challenging enough to get everyone interested and competing against one another. Ok I have a lot of respect for Sony, don't get me wrong. They played a huge role in the gaming industry with the Psone and PS2, but I have to say Sony's latest system is not very appealing to me. It's expensive for one, but more importantly than that there hasn't been too many exclusive games on it that really have that system seller feel to it. This is not my opinion alone, the market has left the electronics giant in last place in the console wars since it's release. Having said that I'll admit the console does have some interesting games on it's line up, these up coming titles could help Sony a lot, here are a few.

It seems as though Microsoft's gaming system always has several games that are on the horizon of being released, however if you've already beaten Resident Evil 5, and Halo Wars then you might be thinking what next?
