Nintendo at E3 2009 has shown off it's new line up of Wii and DS titles, even though the reaction was mixed from fans, and the gaming community in total, Nintendo did manage to surprise with some new and interesting games that will most likely be big hits with both the core and casual gamers.
It was announced by Microsoft last year at E3 that with their installment of the NXE (New Dashboard Experience) update released later that year 2008 were going to have a Prime Time category. Not being ready in time for the NXE, Microsoft said it will come out sometime in spring. Exactly one year from its original announcement we finally get our hands on it.
The long awaited rumor of Microsoft entering the motion scene is no longer just a rumor, it has finally made its debut. It was thought Microsoft would announce a motion like controller at last years E3 but with no mention those talks quickly fizzled into dust. Today at Microsoft's Press conference we got a glimpse of it, not in the form of a motion wand controller however but of a new vision camera ? Yes you heard correct this camera code name "Project Natal" is able to detect full 3D movements within the game for a totally new experience.
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr proved all rumors to be true when they showed up at the Microsoft Convention to introduce Beatles: Rock Band. Set to release for all three platforms, XBLA already has "All You Need Is Love" as a downloadable song. With the Beatles: Rock Band package will also feature a wireless Rickenbacker 325 Guitar Controller, a wireless Gretsch Duo-Jet Guitar Controller, and a wireless Ludwig Drum Set.
EA Sports announced they will release EA Sports MMA. A mixed martial arts game appearing to be made to rival UFC Undisputed. No word yet as to which platforms the game will be for, although all are likely. Its still not known whether or not this will be a one game deal or a series (like the Madden franchise.)
