If you’ve been itching for some news and potential release of the tag fighter from Riot Games, we’ve got you covered. Starting September 9, 2025, the much-anticipated Closed Beta for 2XKO—the tag-team brawler set in League of Legends’ Runeterra—goes live worldwide on Windows PC. Consoles (PS5, Xbox Series S/X) will follow down the road but unlike previous beta versions this will run through the games official release which we’ll get news on sometime later in the year afterward.
For those that don’t know 2XKO is Riot’s free-to-play, 2v2 fighting game that blends familiar Runeterra champions with deep tag mechanics. The game will now have full cross progression and inventory, and unlocks across PC and consoles. Jump into a ranked match on PC then pick up right where you left off on your couch with zero downtime.

If you participated in Alpha Lab 1 or 2 on PC or console, you’re automatically in and new players can sign up now at 2xko.riotgames.com/beta for a chance to grab a slot throughout the beta period. Vi is officially in 2XKO, and the duo everyone’s been waiting for is finally complete.
After months of speculation, Riot confirmed the fan-favorite enforcer is stepping into the ring. That’s right, Vi and Jinx are both in the game, and honestly? It just makes sense. Energy between these two has been core to Riot’s storytelling for years — now we get to see how that translates in a tag-based fighter.
For those heading to Evo in Las Vegas (August 1–3), Riot will showcase a playable build featuring everyone’s favorite enforcer, Vi. Swing by the 2XKO booth to test her tag-team combos live—and get a sneak peek at what lands in the Closed Beta.
Stay tuned to LVLONE for hands-on impressions once the beta drops—and if you score access, let us know your favorite tag combo! And here’s your first look at Vi!
