Microsoft’s Surface Studio is an artist’s wet dream

Microsoft had a couple of announcements yesterday but a big one was the new Surface Studio. It’s a 28-inch all-in-one computer, one of their first endeavors into the desktop world. The very minimalist and sleek design seems like a page from Apple, HP and Dells book. The 28-inch PixelSense display is capable of showing off over a billion different colors, every artist/photographer/videographer’s dream. A wireless keyboard and mouse come standard as most computers do, but the nice addition to the Studio is the Surface Dial and Surface Pen. Just like a chisel needs a hammer, the Dial is another tool in your work bench. The Dial gives you the ability to cycle through color schemes or changing zoom levels as easily as placing the Dial on the screen itself or on the table and rotating the Dial. The large display is able to swivel down to become an artist’s easel so you can get up close and personal with all your work.

  1. I think Surface Dial is one of the best innovations from Microsoft these days. Graphics designers or artists will want to have this desktop so bad. I also love how this Microsoft Studio offers more flexibility to desktop users through its hinge.
