Xbox One: Hardware Profile

It’s finally announced and it’s got so much goodies inside and outside of the console shell. What goodies? Well here’s a nice list for you to set your sights on.

 

CPU:  8 Core CPU custom built by Microsoft which is self regulated to turn off cores when not needed
Graphics Processor:  D3D 11.1 chip with 32 MB embedded memory
Memory (RAM):  8 GB DDR3
Memory (Storage):  500 GB HDD as well as cloud storage
Optical Drive:  Blu-ray/DVD combo drive – No Backwards compatibility to  old XBOX games including Arcade games (sad face)
I/O:  USB 3.0
Communication:  Ethernet, three different 802.11n radios (for connecting to controller and other devices), WiFi Direct
A/V:  HDMI input and output, 1080p and 4K support
Motion Control:  New Microsoft-developed Kinect camera, with 250,000-pixel infrared depth sensor and 1080p camera @ 30 fps , with better depth perception and can recognize up to six skeletons not just two, also capable of capturing your heartbeat
