Modern Warfare 3 has been out for over 48 hours and with no surprise there have been tons of hiccups. Even though Elite has had its paces set in place with a beta, connectivity and service of Elite has been intermittent, if at all. To make up for the problems and lack of service, Activision has decided to give members of the Elite service, and members who sign up an extra 30 days of active time for free. Might be something to look into if you’re interested, and if that’s not enough then look at what else comes with the Premium pack.
The Vet and the Noob, Which One Are You?
Modern Warfare 3 is going live action for their new trailer. The new trailer has got some pretty big movie stars like Sam Worthington, Jonah Hill and Dwight Howard strapping on tactical vests and moving out into the battlefield with SCAR-H rifles in hand. The trailer only makes me want to play more, and hopefully a movie deal will spawn from it. A good movie deal… not a bad one… we really don’t need any more movies like the Legend of Chun Li floating around.
Walmart is ready for it’s gamers to hit it’s stores nation wide. Not only will they be stocking up on double XP Mountain Dew, double XP Doritos, and copies of Modern Warfare 3, they’ll be holding a MW3 tournament a day before it’s release! On November 7, 8pm local time, Walmart will let the loyal gamers of MW3 to play in a tournament up to the midnight release. Walmart will also be offering up some free goodies like MW3 patches, posters and T-shirts at the midnight release, so are you ready for WW3?
Turtle Beach Is Putting The Boom in Boomstick
Turtle Beach and Activision are coming together and putting the hurt on headsets. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will be out this November and with it comes accessories. The new line of headsets offered from Turtle Beach have been dubbed “Ear Force”, and with any military squad they have different code names for different levels of performance.
2 Million Bajillion, Or Maybe Just 2 Million
Call of Duty Elite beta has already reached over 2 million sign ups in under two weeks. There are tons of CoD fanatics (myself included) around the world are counting down the days till the Elite beta goes live on July 14.

Black Ops Bundle Available May 31st
Sony has announced today that a 160GB PS3 bundled with Black Ops and the First Strike map pack DLC will be available on May 31. Although so much has been going on with Sony and it’s network in the last month and a half, it seems that Sony is trying to get back it’s gamers that it may have lost through out the entire hacking debacle.
Activision axes Guitar Hero, True Crimes, makes layoffs and dev closures
Who could foresee something like this happening? It seems like only yesterday we were holding a plastic guitar controller for the first time and had quickly become addicted to the craze. With actually only a mere lifespan of 5 years Activision has disbanded its Guitar Hero business unit and announced that it will cease development of the planned 2011 Guitar Hero game along with other big closures as well.
Call of Duty Black Ops Review: Postmortem
Call of Duty Black Ops has been out for about three weeks now and everyone’s been playing like it’s going outta style. Suffice it to say, Treyarch has done a pretty good job in putting out this game, but there are a few things that need to be covered. Check out the review for more info.
