E3 2011: Kirby Wii

By Turk, June 14, 2011 0 E3 2011, Featured, Nintendo, Previews

It might have gotten lost in all the talk about Nintendo’s new system but Wii owners will be happy to know that the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword isn’t the only Nintendo game left to look forward to on the Wii. Nintendo announced at E3 that Kirby would be making a return to Wii and this time in a more classic way. As opposed to last year’s Epic Yarn game, Kirby Wii brings back the classic look and gameplay to the Wii. It might not be the most exciting news coming out of Nintendo’s announcements but fans of Kirby will definitely like that Kirby is getting one more game on the Wii.

Wii U: The Tech Demos Shown

By Turk, June 9, 2011 0 E3 2011, Featured, Nintendo, Previews

Wii U is the new Nintendo console, the controller has a tablet interface that comes with a lot potential for games. At E3 Nintendo had several playable tech demos that were shown off to show what the new controller can do. Nintendo reminded everyone that the tech demos are just to show how the Wii U’s controller can work and did not say that these were games. Overall even though the tech is at an early stage the demos showed enough of what the controller can do.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Preview

By Turk, June 18, 2010 0 E3 2010, Featured, Features, News, Nintendo, Nintendo, Nintendo, Previews

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was the last game in the Legend of Zelda franchise to be on a console, and even then that game wasn’t a native Wii adventure: it was originally produced for the GameCube and then converted over to the Wii. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the first Zelda game that’s made specifically for Wii, and this one requires Wii MotionPlus.
