Gamestop has been getting some backlash from consumers for selling semi new games. When I mean semi new, I mean that they broke the seal on the game before selling it to you. The PC edition of Deus Ex: Human Revolution came with a code for a free digital copy for Onlive, an online game streaming service that isn't affiliated with Gamestop. Since the purchase of IGN's Direct 2 Drive, we were all wondering how Gamefly would integrate this into their services. Finally news has surfaced on what Gamefly has planned, and I gotta admit it's pretty damn good. Come this holiday season, Gamefly will be offering unlimited PC gaming through their subscription service. Gamefly has been working hard to sign more publishers up, and come September 8, they plan to have over a hundred publishers for their Beta program. This holiday season seems like the best season to give a Gamefly subscription!

Electronic Arts had plenty to boast about during their preliminary financial results report for the first quarter of 2011. Since Battlefield 3 pre-order sales are up 10% over it's predecessor. The company was bolstered by top performing games like Portal 2, Crysis 2, FIFA 11, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12. What may have come as a big surprise for investors was news that Star Wars: The Old Republic broke the already high record set by Battlefield 3 for pre-orders. Within the first 24 hours of pre-orders going live, the $150 Collector's Edition sold out at EA's own store, Origin
