This weekend Remdog and myself were lucky to be able to get to go to Boston's Pax East and engulf all the newest games that are out on the horizon. As usual we'll be updating everyone throughout the next couple of weeks of what went down and all the wonderful games we played, seen, and were introduced to at Pax East. Just a few of the titles we got hands on with was Aliens Colonial Marines, Far Cry 3, Max Payne 3, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, and Borderlands 2. We also got to see game play of XCOM, Assassins Creed 3, and TONS of indie games, so if anyone was wondering how the games played, features of some of the games, or just any questions in general leave a comment and we'll answer them when we do the write up.
After long speculation, rumors and an eventual confirmation, Assassin's Creed III has a been given a release date of Oct. 30 (the announcement comes to no surprise to most gamers worldwide).
The rumors have been flying on the release date of Diablo III, with it all aiming towards April. The date has still yet to be announced but the April release window is looking almost dead on since Blizzard is putting PvP on hold.
It's been some time since we've seen anything from the very first trailer of Hawken, the first person mech shooter, but with so much action anticipation, perfection takes time.
Guild Wars 2 is something off in the near future, but their closed beta is getting amped up and readied to be downloaded soon. The closed beta signups were open for a mere 48 hours, but within the span of the 48 hours, masses of Guild War lovers about 4,000 per minute signed up. I have a hunch that NC Soft has another sleeping giant on their hands.
