E3 True or Not ? Part 3 (Sony E3 Press Conference analysis 05-08)

2005… if you think about it, it was not that long ago. Sony’s E3 press conference was suppose to show the full details about the PS3. Sony debut the PS3, then the PS3 was thrown right out the the door by most of the media. Fortunately things have changed now. We will cover Sony’s E3 press conference from E3 2005 to the up and coming E3 2009.

New Releases: Electric Edge edition

This weeks NEW releases has electricity in the air! Sly Cooper’s creator Sucker Punch has release a brand new title called ‘inFamous’. This shocking title has a release only for the Ps3. Trust us, you will want to play this game. The demo has been out for almost a week now. Get this game, become a superhero and save Empire City.

The brand NEW video game releases for this week are lead by some familiar titles from the 80′s. Personally, I love nostalgia. I believe that some of these titles will remind you of those good old times. More companies should go through their back catalog and do new remakes. Do not call this a comeback, they have been here for years.

The most memorable opening scenes

Video games are much like books and movies—the very beginning has a big impact on the audience. The opening scene sets the feel and pacing of the quest, and is that split second after the intro movie (if there is one) is done when players are first given control of their character. They have that one moment to locate themselves on screen and take in their surroundings. They take a breath, and then take their first step on the adventure ahead of them. They don’t know what to expect, what kind of baddies and bosses await, but they’re eager and ready. Although there are many video games that have a forgettable or perhaps generic beginning, some titles stand out from the crowd. These games have unique and distinguished opening scenes, so much so that the initial frame has been embedded into gamers heads and have become instantly recognizable. Ok I have a lot of respect for Sony, don’t get me wrong. They played a huge role in the gaming industry with the Psone and PS2, but I have to say Sony’s latest system is not very appealing to me. It’s expensive for one, but more importantly than that there hasn’t been too many exclusive games on it that really have that system seller feel to it. This is not my opinion alone, the market has left the electronics giant in last place in the console wars since it’s release.
