Microsoft Surface Duo available for pre-order
The Microsoft Surface Duo is the newest edition to the mobile game since the Microsoft Lumia phones. The Duo is an impressive device that folds in half with two separate 5.6-inch OLED screens. The Duo itself measure in at 8.1-inches when open, with each display rocking a 1800 x 1350 resolution in a 4:3 aspect. Both screens will have durable Gorilla Glass unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Fold 2, Z Flip, and Z Flip 5G. Powering up the Duo will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, with 6GB RAM and 256GB of Storage but no expandable memory, which falls a bit short compared to the Note 20 Ultra’s specs. The Duo will boast up to 27 hours of talk time with their 3577mAh battery and 18W USB-C charger, but will not be wireless charging capable. Even though the Duo boasts two Gorilla Glass screens, what surprises me the most about the Duo is the support of any Surface Pen on the displays. As for camera on the Duo, the main camera will be an 11 mega pixel F/2.0 camera with 4K 60fps video recording, nothing to call home about on paper, but until we get our hands on it we’ll have to wait and see.
The Surface Duo is now available for pre-order from AT&T, Microsoft’s online store, and Best Buy. The Duo will retail for $1399.99 for the 128GB and $1499.99 for the 256GB version which will be available as an unlocked model, or with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon on September 10th.
