Last year Logitech announced that they will be more environmentally friendly by trying to decrease their carbon footprint in the world. Logitech has been in business for more than 35 years, and the accumulation of their footprint over there years has no doubt been massive. Logitech will be the very first consumer electronics company that will give detailed carbon impact labeling so that consumers can be more conscious on the purchases that they make and how they, themselves will impact the world with their carbon footprint.

We recognize the scale of the environmental challenges facing our planet today. We are doubling down on our efforts to reduce our environmental impact, yet we can’t do it alone. By communicating the carbon impact of our products, we are empowering and collaborating with our consumers to better the world. Carbon is the new calorie – we need to know what we’re consuming. We also invite other companies to join Logitech in driving positive change by providing full transparency on their products. It will take an industry-wide effort to truly make a difference.” – Bracken Darrell, President and CEO of Logitech

Logitech will work with well-known third parties like Natural Capital Partners, iPoint Group, and also an independent group to verify carbon impact levels to DEKRA certification standards.
