In a recent report by Variety, NBC Universal is planning a rebranding on one of gamer’s favorite TV stations, G4TV. Along with the name itself being changed, the programming itself may be changed to fit their target audience. Who’s their target audience you ask? You of course. Over the years G4 has been transformed it’s shows to find the best fit to stay up to date with what people want to see. NBCU plans to upscale it’s programming to fit a more GQ-ish oriented style who look for some adrenaline in their shows. The rebrand may go into effect as soon as early 2013, so this may be the last year where we can get our gaming needs on TV, besides the half hour of Gametrailers on Spike.
