Top Gun to be at Fleet Week in NY

Paramount Digital Entertainment’s Top Gun will make its public debut this weekend at Fleet Week New York 2010, on Pier 88 next to the USS Iwo Jima. Gamers can jump into the cockpit as Maverick and blast down Soviets over the Indian Ocean, or compete against classmates like Iceman and Slider at Top Gun Academy. Approximately 3,000 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard will participate in the 23rd annual Fleet Week New York, which takes place May 26 – June 2.

Held nearly every year since 1984, Fleet Week New York is the city’s celebration of the sea services. This event also provides an opportunity for the citizens of New York City and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as see, first-hand, the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services.
